Before assuming his position as Deputy Head of Mission in Kazakhstan at the OSCE Programme Office in Astana, Mirco Günther worked for the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine (SMM) and the OSCE Office in Tajikistan.
During the 90 minutes conversation, he will give us some insights into the daily conflict and mediation work of the OSCE, including cease-fire monitoring in the Ukraine, local mediation efforts to reduce tensions on the ground, the work on the crash site of MH17 as well as prisoner exchange. We will be also talking about the role of youth in conflict and peace processes. The event will be moderated by Polis180 Member Nico Schernbeck, who works for the Peace Research Institute Frankfurt (PRIF) and currently supports the Task Force OSCE in the German Federal Foreign Office.
After the discussion, we look forward to enjoying some wine and small snacks with you.
