Beyond The Others – At Home In Black Europe

As a partner of the A Soul for Europe conference, Polis180 organizes the workshop “Beyond the others – At home in black Europe”. Together with our panelists Johny Pits, photographer and founder of Afropean and Antje Scharenberg, researcher at Goldsmiths University and activist at European Alternatives we discuss questions of European belonging and possibilities for a political community aiming to go with rather than against “others“.

As part of the workshop, the artist Moshtari Hilal will exhibit a fragmented self-portrait which she uses as a projection screen for what concerns her about Europe: (Neo)Colonialism, Democracy, Prosperity and Migration.
