Theme of the Year 2026: Grassroots Perspectives on Security<\/h2>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”3\/5″][vc_column_text]Security policy in Germany and Europe is undergoing fundamental change, yet it continues to be predominantly military in nature and is being neglected. Complex challenges are still being addressed with outdated approaches. Yet security in open, democratic societies is multidimensional. It requires new ways of thinking, diverse perspectives and the systematic involvement of under-represented groups, particularly young people. This is precisely where our grassroots approach comes in: it creates space for diverse perspectives, builds bridges in polarised times and channels ideas from society into politics. Fall Academy 2025\u00a0 \u201cWar and Peace across the Taiwan Strait\u201d<\/span><\/h2>\n

Through panels, workshops, and group work<\/strong>, participants will develop new perspectives on the situation in the Taiwan Strait together with experts \u2013 and formulate policy recommendations for Europe.
